Last week, KGD was honored to be included in the momentous celebration of the Red Lion project in Arlington, Virginia reaching its “Topping Out” milestone. Led by owner and developer Orr Partners with general contractor CBG Building Company, it was a great opportunity to reach this exciting stage for the project and take a moment with everyone involved in making this project come to life, especially all the subcontractors!

Slated for delivery in 2027, the Red Lion project involves site redevelopment into an eight-story multifamily building with three levels of underground parking. It will have 423 market rate units that will replace all existing buildings on the site with the exception of two from the Red Lion Hotel that are being refurbished and reused for parking. A notable aspect of this project is its prominent location coupled with being a complete redevelopment involving urban infill housing adjacent to one of Northern Virginia's main traffic corridors of Route 50 into and out of the District through Arlington County.
