Have you been wondering were KGD has been lately? How about Japan as well as in the DMV…
Last month, KGD participated in three opportunities that bridged academia and our practice, translating emergent technologies into built-world innovation.
In the DMV, Manoj Dalaya was a guest lecturer for the GMU Graduate Real Estate program at the invitation of Professor Mark Hassinger. Manoj was joined by Ava Helm in presenting our prepared materials for the program attendees.
Prior to delivering that program and having caught the red-eye back to the DMV, Manoj was in Osaka, Japan for two conferences – the Global Congress of Knowledge Economy for which Manoj presented on Smart Cities and Urban Economics and the Annual World Congress of Smart Materials with our program entitled, “Sequestering Carbon in Concrete: Enhancing Sustainability in Construction.”
Scroll down for a link to the carousel on our Instagram for all the details about these three events, especially how our sequestered carbon in concrete has garnered the attention of CNRS Scientist Didier Devaux to collaborate on validating performance from fresh mixes through long-term aging. We are delighted to extend our practice of sourcing viable and sustainable materials for other projects and the whole of the design and construction industry.
